Welcome to Belper Child Contact Centre
The Belper Child Contact Centre is based in the Amber Valley District in Derbyshire. We provide a meeting place for separated parents to meet with their children. We serve both the local and wider community.
The Centre is a safe, friendly and impartial place where children can meet with their parent (or other family members) with whom they no longer live with following their parents’ relationship breakdown.
Although there needs to be at least one parent with your child at all times while at the Contact Centre, volunteers can carry out handovers so you do not have to meet your ex-partner if you do not wish to.
We are open on alternate Saturdays between the hours of 10am and 12pm. To find out the days we operate please see our calendar
Contact Centres may provide differing levels of support during contact. We offer ‘supported’ contact only, not ‘supervised’. This means that our volunteers are available for assistance but there is no close observation, monitoring or evaluation of individual contacts. Each family is provided with their own individual room with age appropriate toys.
Please note there is a £5 charge per session per family to help cover our running costs. The Centre is staffed entirely by volunteers.
